Therapy in English

Are you an international living in Esbjerg or the surrounding area and looking for therapy in English? I offer English-speaking psychotherapy for people who prefer to explore personal challenges in a language that feels comfortable and natural.

My Therapeutic Approach

I work with resource-oriented psychotherapy, an integrative method grounded in Cybernetic Psychology. This approach supports you in meeting challenges with curiosity, clarity and inner strength—whether you seek help for specific issues or wish to explore long-term personal development.

Typical themes include:

  • Stress, anxiety, overwhelm or low self-esteem
  • Grief, loss or life transitions
  • Relationship challenges
  • Workplace difficulties or burnout
  • Feeling stuck in old patterns or emotional wounds
  • Integration of psychedelic experiences
  • A desire to reconnect with yourself, nature or deeper meaning
  • Curiosity about personal growth and inner resources

My work includes methods such as body awareness, mindfulness, movement, drawing, dialoguing with inner parts, cognitive tools and trauma-sensitive approaches. All sessions take place in a safe, confidential and supportive space.

Dreams and the Unconscious

Dreams offer direct access to the deeper layers of the psyche. Working with dreams helps you understand their symbolic language – even when the meaning is not immediately logical or conscious.

By engaging creatively with dreams, we can activate your natural capacity for self-regulation, insight and psychological growth. I have worked with my own dreams for years, both privately and through my training at the Vedfelt Institute, and I integrate dreamwork naturally into therapy whenever it supports the process.

You are welcome whether you seek dream-focused sessions or want dreamwork as part of a broader psychotherapy process.

About me

I was born in Esbjerg and now live on Fanø with my wife and son. I have done my psychotherapist education at the Vedfelt Institute and follow the ethical guidelines of the Danish Psychotherapist Association.

Besides my therapeutic work, I have a background in sales, leadership and business development, which allows me to support clients who struggle with work-related challenges or career stress. I also run Vest for Vest, where I facilitate nature-based and health-oriented events on Fanø.

Why I Offer Therapy in English

I have lived in Canada, studied at university in English, and worked in international, English-speaking companies. Much of my psychological reading and learning has also taken place in English.

Because of this background, offering therapy in English is a natural part of my practice, and I warmly welcome clients from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

If you’re looking for therapy in English in Esbjerg, you are very welcome to reach out.
